About Me

My career all started my senior year in High School. I took a Mass Communications class that went over how printing presses work, screen printing, how to make plates and design brochures on the computer. When I went to college, I had to make a decision if I wanted to take Printing Technology or Computer Graphics. I really like designing on the computer so I chose Computer Graphics. I received my Associates Degree from Luzerne County Community College in Nanticoke, PA in May of 1998.

About 2 months after graduation, I started a temp job at RH Donnelley. I was chosen out of about 30 temporary employes to be hired on full time in February 1999. In February 2001, I received a promotion and moved to Morrisville, NC and made North Carolina my home.

I have done freelance work on the side for friends and family throughout the years. In November 2010, my dream career ended after our department was eliminated. I started doing more freelance work and gained relationships and friendships through networking.

In March 2011, I started Carolina Invitations, Web and Graphic Design. I really enjoyed working with people and custom design their graphics and web design needs to their specifications.

In December 2011, I received my Webmaster's Certificate in Media Design with Flash Specialization.

In January 2012, I started volunteering as a graphic designer for the Susan G. Komen race for the cure.

I have worked hard to hone my technical skills and achieve certifications in my field. My experience, education and personality have prepared me to work well with others and to respond creatively to challenges, crises and added responsibilities.
